Finding Documents:
There are millions of documents in the Federal Depository Library Program; over 100,000 are available full text via the web.  Beginning in June 2000 Pfau Library will catalog electronic, print, and microform documents in our OPAC as they are released.  Other resources for finding Federal Government information by subject:

  • Browse Electronic Titles (maintained by the U.S. Government Printing Office)
  • Browse links to electronic federal publications by Agency.
  • Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (maintained by the U.S. Government Printing Office)
  • Catalogs all publications (print and electronic) distributed through the Federal Depository Library Program since 1994.
  • Hotbot (maintained by Lycos Inc.)
  • In the Advanced Search option it is possible to limit by location / domain.  Limiting to .gov (government) or .mil (military) sites is one way to find information published by the Federal Government.
