Give to the LibraryThank you for considering making a gift to the Pfau Library. Gifts to the library endure! Your contributions help to strengthen the library's foundation and shape its future. Material GiftsThe Pfau Library accepts material gifts such as books, periodicals, software, audio CDs, DVDs, audio cassettes, LPs, and VHS tapes. You may drop off the materials at the library or contact Catrina Mancha at 909-537-5096 (x75096) to schedule an on-campus pick up.After donating your materials, you will receive a letter, for tax purposes, stating only the number of items donated to the library. The library cannot provide a list of items or appraise the value of items donated. The library's selectors will then evaluate the materials for inclusion into the collection. Please note that donation does not guarantee inclusion into the collection. If you have items of particular interest, for example currently-used textbooks or high-value items, or if you have questions on these policies, please contact Lisa Bartle, coordinator of the Collection Development Department (909-537-7552/x77552). Items we do not add to our collection are given to local libraries for possible addition to their collections. Monetary GiftsThe Pfau Library accepts monetary gifts. For more information, contact University Librarian Cesar CaballeroBookplatesWhether giving materials or monetary gifts, a California State University, San Bernardino bookplate memorializes the name of a special person, program, department, organization or company in your life and benefits the collections in the Pfau Library. Upon request at time of the donation, the name you specify will appear on a customized bookplate that will be affixed inside the cover of the book(s) in the Pfau Library. In addition, a keyword search in the Pfau Library's Online Catalog will retrieve the item's record, where your special name will appear. This is called an electronic bookplate. |
